Sub-Zero In Sweden
16/02/2010
Seb Marshall teamed up with Harry Hunt to tackle the opening round of the World Rally Championship, the Swedish Rally.
Set in a picturesque snowy landscape where temperatures plummeted to -25°C the new pairing faced a tough debut as they were one of only four cars competing for 2WD honours amongst the 4WD dominated field.
Having assisted Hunt on the Monte Carlo Rally, the London based driver was getting to grips with competing on snow for the first time, a unique experience on studded tyres, in his Ford Fiesta R2.
Following a few minor excursions into the snowbanks that were quickly rectified by the local spectators, the MSA British Rally Elite Co-Driver was delighted to make the finish of what was an incredibly demanding rally.
Seb commented "It's a bizarre but brilliant experience to be competing on snow, and despite the cold temperatures I've really enjoyed what has got to be one of the hardest rallies I've done."
