Seb Marshall Rallying

Cambrian Victory For Seb

08/11/2006

With a season of many up's and down's the final round of the BTRDA Xspec 1400 series, the Cambrian Rally, saw Seb Marshall and David Bogie claim their first victory in the championship.

After a tough start with no power steering on the demanding Great Orme stage and two punctures in the Penmachno forests, the pair were lying 3rd some 47 seconds behind leader Justin Lawson.

Stage 4 was to see the demise of Lawson though, as David and Seb set fastest time to move into the lead by just 8 seconds going into service. Once into the Clocaenog complex, with the icy surface melting, the young crew put on a real charge through the two long stages to open up a 43 second gap to Duncan Williams in second.

A final cautious run of the Great Orme and victory was theirs!

"It was a great feeling to finally get the win that we've all been working so hard for all year." commented Seb, "It looked a little grim this morning but David really put in some great times to get the lead back."

"Big thanks have got to go to the Pro-Tec service lads for getting the car ready, considering there was no engine in it on Thursday they did a great job!"

Seb will now continue with his MSA British Rally Academy commitments over the next month: "It's a hectic end to the year with a Ford test, two training days and a busy week on Rally GB!"
